Moodle: Our new Moodle server is located at: http://moodle.dyc.edu. Moodle, an open source course management system somewhat like Blackboard, is being beta tested this year. Faculty and select students are eligible for Moodle accounts.

X-Chat: Those students using chat, please contact 716-829-8133 for information on X-Chat. Directions for X-Chat can be found under SERVICES or at http://ddl.dyc.edu/xchat.html> on this page.

Please contact Dr. John Murphy (716-829-8147) or Thomas Milano (716-829-8147) to arrange support and any needed in-service for instructors and students.

DDL & PROJECT: Special Inservice sessions are available for building websites and for using our new blogging software, WordPress.

Sympodium - What appears to be a fancy monitor on the electronic podium in BFAC-104 is actually a "Sympodium", a device that allows one to sketch on the screen and save the results. The department, through Instructional Media (BFAC-9) provides faculty and staff with in-service on the operation of the new gadget. Special in-service sessions are available, subject to room availability on the use of the Sympodium with Blackboard. Contact Dr. John Murphy (716-829-8147) or Instructional Media at (716) 829-7664.

Smart Classrooms: Technology podiums (computer, VCR, DVD, and LCD) have been added to BFAC 202, BFAC 302, ALT 141, ALT 150, ALT 158, ALT 605, and ALT 607. Technology podiums are planned for: BFAC 106, BFAC 205, BFAC 304, BFAC 305, ALT 307, ALT 308, ALT 604, ALT 606, and ALT 641. These rooms will be supervised by Instructional Media (BFAC-009).
