Please Read This
Before You Register for any INT
Course
All students taking
INT courses must have access to a computer, e-mail,
a word processor program,and the Internet. All
students enrolling in an INT course
(new students or first-timers - take
NOTE) must
complete a Distance
Education Student Information
Form,
supply a valid e-mail address to
the
Registrar's
office, and consult with the Director of
Instructional Support Services/Distance Education
(716-829-8147), or his assistant, (716-829-8133) on
computer and connectivity requirements.

* Note: Some courses may require students to
install additional plug-ins and clients. Plug-ins
such as Real Player and QuickTime are necessary to
run audio and/or video files supplied on CD or on
the web. Adobe Acrobat Reader may be necessary to
read certain text files.
All Distance
Learning Students must have a basic knowledge of
how to run the computer, access files, save papers,
run a CD in the CD-ROM drive, and access the
Internet and navigate to a specific URL.
All Distance
Learning Students must have access to the Internet
via an Internet Service Provider (ISP), for
example, America On-Line (AOL). All Distance
Learning students must supply a valid e-mail
address to complete their enrollment in a course
and to be placed on our Blackboard Distance
Learning server.
Requirements for
an INT (Distance Learning) Course:
Before the start of the course: (1) the student
is responsible for having access to necessary
computer equipment and to the Internet, (2) the
student must contact the course instructor to
arrange his or her participation in the course and
attend orientation sessions, (3) after
registration, the student must contact the Director
of Distance Learning to obtain necessary user
identification to gain access to the course
site.
The student is likewise responsible for completing
his or her own work in the course, including the
following: retrieving and reading all documents and
assignments, participating in discussions and chat
sessions in a professional manner (see
Netiquette
Rules),
submitting all assignments by the stated deadlines,
fulfilling all examination requirements, working
cooperatively and respectfully with fellow
students, and following all other guidelines and
rules imposed by the instructor.
